The PR was released on March 18 and included a comment by Dr. Long
- "It is not the intent of any Altair insiders to sell into a declining market"

Another 144 was filed after that news release was issued, registering more shares for sale.

Why will someone want to file a SEC 144 if the above comment by Dr. Long is correct? - obviously this person has an intent to sell.

You will also notice that the news release conveniently starts counting the insider selling from Jan. There was insider selling in Dec and another chunk has been registered for sale after that.

The selling was coincidently around the time the convertible was issued. A combination of a floorless convertible, rising short interest and insider sales means trouble to the stock price (at least to me).

Rajiv
