And they are publicly traded (often!), unlike their FC switch confreres Gadzoox Vixel and Brocade. If I wanted to invest in a FC switch maker now before the late '98 run-up and rounds of IPOs attract momentous attention (epiphany - data storage is a perpetual growth industry boys, duh)... well nobody has to tell me what to buy. And data storage is just one of Ancor's markets, which may not be said for the competitors (network bandwidth is also a growth industry).

It's nice to think that now the rest of the world may be getting an inkling of the same opportunity. At least Ancor is beginning to show up regularly in trade articles - check today's J. Fieb Techweb post, more grist for the mill:
