Good Evening Margaret,

The cable does not annoy me either at least not anymore because I am tired of poor service and the constant increasing of their monthly rates.

Hope you are having a nice weekend. The temperature here was above 80 degrees and Sunny.

My e-mail is not working at all and I am not able to retreive any messages at this time. Please have a nice evening

GO INTEL!!! KEEP UP THE GOOD PERFORMANCE BABY AS YOU ARE GOING THE RIGHT WAY.

Thinking of you
Warm Regards
Frank

Margaret & Frank;

You might want to consider going DSS (Digital Satellite System). I recently installed this. The picture is crystal clear - even when the regular broadcast TV was snowy, the rates are reasonable, there are no wires coming to your house.

Yes, the initial cost is a bit higher, but the picture quality and service are great. The dishes are small (about 18"). I do not have a need for a great number of stations so I went with their ten station deal for $15/month. I chose: A&E, Animal Planet, CNBC, CNN, Discovery, ESPN, History Channel, Home & Garden TV, TNT, and Sci-Fi Channel. I use my regular antenna for the local stations as well.

If you wanted 'everything' as many cable users do, it would run around $55/month. That would include CD music channels, Disney, HBO, Showtime, Cinemax, Starz, Sundance, TMC, and lots of other cost added programming. Further, if you want Greek, French, Arabic, or Spanish programming, you can add that for about $8 - $15 per month additional. I do not think the cable companies are offering the language deals.

Just another perspective,
dmg
