<< Who knows - are we headed into a recession, or coming out of one? >>

Bonnie,

Everyone knows that what happens in California, happens to the rest of us three to five years later.

Sounds like the time is about right for us to have a bear market.

John

PS - If you Californians ever had a 'real bear market', you would probably pass an environmental law against it anyway. < G >

Hi Bonnie; Regarding unemployment rates. Here in
Washington state:

Unemployment in the state dropped to a 47-year
low in February at 5.1 percent, led by record
growth in jobs and warm weather that cut into the
usual rise in seasonal joblessness. Adjusted for
those seasonal changes, the rate was 4.1 percent,
down nearly three percentage points in the past
22 months and half a percentage point below the
national average of 4.6 percent.
...
The coming slowdown in aerospace can be
tracked - only 200 new positions were added in
February. Total workers in the "aircraft and
parts" sector is 111,600, up 32,000 workers from
the low point in December 1995. But growth has
tapered off, and Boeing expects some modest
cuts beginning in the second half.

Bonnie up 40% long since the end of Dec. going long. Think about Bonnie Bull. Of course I am only a BBA, what do I know compared to a MBA. There are many intelligent people who haven't had that chance to go to college that are smarter that you.

Just a thought.
