Larry, I haven't been keeping up w/ the Gumport/Lehman research, but FWIW everytime I've read the guy's stuff my first reaction is "here's someone who's making sense" or "even if he's wrong here and there, I think he's trying to take an intellectualy honest view of MU so I want to listen to him"

I remember on a prior report he opined that MU could pontentially get to the 70 range in several years. Don't know if I'd go that far, but the way I interpret that statement is basically "if we get the right alignment of MU's product mix, mfg. initiatives like die shrinks, cost leadership relative to competitors, positive industrywide supply/demand factors, etc., we may very well be dealing with a situtation where you could have not just margin expansion, but margin explosion; however, that type of alignment rests on a lot of uncertainties in each area working themselves out and some are VERY uncertain right now..."

That's how I sort of read between the lines, and it's just my interpreation.

But Gumport like Kurlak seems to have held his ground, but again, I don't know everything he written and everyone's entitled to their opinion.

Who knows?

Good trading,

Tom
