Diamond, thanks for expressing your sentiments about participation on this message board. I agree with you. I've been a faithful lurker on this thread for nearly six months now, and I haven't missed a single post. You folks don't know how much I've laughed and cried along with you. Of course, I've also been a faithful investor/trader in our favorite sector through this turbulent period of time. The jokes, the fears, the sharing of well-thought out analysis and strategies.....it all works together to create the board's unique personality. Don't change....it wouldn't be the same.

The reason I choose to lurk and not post is simply because I don't feel anything I might have to say would add particular value. Usually there's someone expressing my sentiments for me, and I'm quietly in the background cheering them on. Plus, quite frankly, I'm cheap. It costs nothing to lurk, but if I choose to stay around past the expiration of my visitor pass, I'll have to cough up the requisite $125. Between now and then, I'll have to decide if I have the urge to post messages worth spending $125 for.

In the meantime, I think the party is a wonderful idea, and would love to have an excuse to visit the state where I was raised once again. Please count this golfer in!

Regards, Judy

Concerning our thread and the posts found within... It's easy to scan 100 or so posts in a few minutes if the post's first line is constructed with due consideration of the reader/scanner. As others have suggested, let's do one or more (as appropriate) of the following: 1. Use private messages if the subject is not of general interest, or is either highly personal, potentially embarrassing, insulting, vengeful, revengeful. 2. First line: use OT for off topic, and EOM for end of message. 3. First line: state subject and, if possible, jest of discussion. 4. First line: use partial quotation of post segment being responded to either within brackets, quotation marks, or indented font. 5. First line: use headline or banner of the article being posted. 6. First line: use [To All] if it is a "must read" post for everyone. Tulvio

I've been lurking here about 6 months. Found ya'll very knowledgeable. What strikes me to respond now is your truism, gave me a good laugh cause I feel same way (TO HAVE OIL,SEX,AND LOVE IN ONE LIFETIME IS INDEED A BLESSED THING). I've been investing in oil and gas for 20 years. Started with slb, hal, and hughes tools in 1978. The cycle is now with us, interrupted by short term fundamentals that give us long termers opportunity to buy! We need all views on this thread, neophite to experts, all add value to me. It matters not what Cramer says or the guy on wall street week. Market fundamentals always win out in the long term!! How wonderful to have CNBC tell us how to invest. With oil at $13 they round up analysts to tell us i'ts going to below $10. My 8 yr. old son could say the same thing(no way he's much to smart, besides i'd kill him)if you pay him 1 mill. Enjoy the ride, stay the course, and make money.

Ted

OIL AND GAS ARE VERY HI TECH.
