David,

I would have to be conservative when it comes to the list and assume that perhaps .9 would be a good multiple to use. The larger numbers are very exact, while a few of the smaller guys have not been heard from in quite some time. If they don't post or check in, then we must think that some have moved on.

Since Mick Orgas confirmed in his E-Mail letter to his followers that he still has his original investment in BANY......I will add what I believe is 25k to "other" in his honor....so we have a good start for next week.

I'm also quite sure that there are several other large blocks that are considered part of the float...and that these are being certed now also...or great efforts are being undertaken to get them certed. Since this would be considered hype now......I think it is good enough to say that there is a world of BANY outside SI....and that although posters here own a large percentage of the float, there are others that can really make a difference. I do not expect that the posters here need to obtain the entire float in order to make things happen.

I think people should decide for themselves how many shares of BANY they feel comfortable owning. For many, it depends upon their risk tolerance and investment horizon. There will be many ups and downs ahead. There will be doubts and outright attacks, praise and hype. There will be short, near, and long term folks. There also may be the momentum people. I think you need to be prepared for anything and everything.

The list is a fun way of using information.....but it is the company that will make it come together. If the company is a value...the market will let us know in no uncertain terms. Three distinct stories here. And two out of three is 66%......which may be where the list will be next week.

The only thing left to estimate now is....by how many points Utah will upset N. Carolina?

ps. Russ....got ya....200 trading shares.

David,

Holy Moly...Do the math. I think that is what Yost was doing last week.....becoming the supplier on this deal.

$ 3 million on the case side on a 3 year contract that started in 97. 60% in final year.( $ 1.8 million in 99)

BANY did about $55,000 on this deal last year.(1997)

I belive that BANY is looking at about $ 1.2 million on this contract this year. They said they were break even at $600,000 in sales? Wow.
