Veeeery interesting. That Texaco page has a source document date of March 16, 1998. Perhaps the poster is correct; Texaco will be taking the lead in worldwide sales. Or maybe the "deal" is simply a complete buyout of Rentech?

>>If that is true, then the potential earnings to RNTK may be bigger than any of us ever expected. After all Texaco has the infrastructure and money to market this technology world wide in a way that RNTK never could. Hold on we could be in for quite a ride!<<

Steve, interesting way of looking at the TX deal. Hadn't thought of it that way.

Certainly is a tantalizing possibility.

Steve,

More and more seems to be coming to light about this stock, at least to me anyway(I began buying this last fall, right through yesterday) The context in which RNTK needs to be considered seems to expand as events and markets themselves evolve practically daily.

As an investor whose own views and understanding also evolve, what would be your projections now for this stock? I have heard this target of $20 by year end mentioned a lot here, and I have always thought this number to be too conservative given what seems likely to transpire with TX, plus all the other issues that are making RNTK technology more and more attractive.

I may be wrong, but to my way of thinking, RNTK is either going to really soar or else spend a whole lot of time waiting around at lower levels, languishing in the meantime.

Best,
Charliss

Most intriguing, the use of the term "proprietary" with RNTK technology as opposed to "new" with Syntroleum's.

Could we be looking at more than just a licensing deal?
Is TX going for exclusive rights to RNTK technology?
Is a buyout out of the question?

Is this the way rumors get started? LOL

Steve,

What makes you think "Texaco's propriatary gasification technology" is RNTK? I think RNTK comes in downstream of this process and converts the "Synthesis gas" into Diesel, kerosene, naptha, waxes (the FT step).

Is this a bad thing? No Way!! If Texaco can put the RNTK process downstream of an already tried and true synthesis gas process the incremental cost for RNTK equipment is significantly reduced and the economics improved. I think their may be a great fit here.

If you know more please expand.

<<"Texaco's proprietary gasification technology".
This sounds like there is not going to be a licensing agreement but rather a joint venture with Texaco >>

You hit it right on the nails head... it is Texaco that will go and license it out ... the marketing power,,that RNTK keeps talking about..

As for basing RNTK's price comp to the Indian ,,plant ,, please do not forget it was an experimental plant ,,first of it's size.. and has produced large quantity of liquid...

Further cobalt is far more expensive then iron,,the needed oxidation comes free in the form of rust... the process which is patented and owned only by RNTK,, cobalt ,, any Tom , Dick and Harry can use..

"It looks like a buyout"- RNTK Worm

When I last talked to the RNTK Worm a couple weeks ago and posted the info about the pending TX S-3 coming out and the "certain percentage"
equity stake in RNTK, I asked: How much of an "equity stake" are we talking about? Worm said "Big. It looks like a buyout". "Is it a
buyout?" I asked. "Not sure" says RNTK Worm. I expressed this "impression" in the following post:
exchange2000.com

One thing for sure- When the TX S-3 comes out there will be RNTK PANDEMONIUM!

Also, in an unusual move, I noticed Investor Relations is spreading the word about next Wednesday at Weil on several newgroups.
