I received my order from amesmusic.com today. Ordered 2 C/D's online from them last Thursday, and they were delivered today (Mon.) with the regular mail delivery. I was quite surprised with the promptness of the arrival. One C/D was out of stock (Victory at Sea)(vol 1). They kept me well appraised (via e-mailings) as to the status of my order, and all appropriate credit was applied to my credit card on the out of stock piece. I have a question regarding the relationship between Amesmusic and The Handleman Company. Does Amesmusic use Handleman as an e-tail rack jobber, or are Amesmusic and Handleman involved in a J/V in the music area? I remember Handleman from the 1960's - 70's and at one time it's stock price rose in very much similar fashion to that of what AOL's price has done recently. If memory serves me right, I think I can remember the day it broke $100 a share.

I believe we are seeing some institutional accumulation of AMES recently. The stock currently has 2 strong buys (1.0), and 1 moderate buy (2.0) according to Zacks. The 1 moderate buy is an upgrade from hold (3.0) by "a regional broker". Zacks themselves have upgraded from 3.0 to 2.0 over the last week, on their earnings revision model. The consensus rating now stands at 1.3, up from 2.0 last week, and the market appears to have taken notice. Onward and upward.
