Jesus never hired anyone that I remember is mentioned. But Jesus was criticized most harshly for talking and visiting with those who were considered the "sinners" of the day. It might be noted that tax collectors were in the same catagory of prostitutes. -GG- From what I understand, back then the tax collector visited each house and basically shook them down for as much as he could get, pocketing part and turning the rest over to the Roman govt. No flames, please. I'm a tax preparer as part of my profession. DK
