<<....but it is the CTO Leonard Hecht who is spearheading the network convergence vision.

Scott:

.......they design according to the wishes of Mr.Chada and his close surrounds.

CTO is close surrounds? How closer could you get?

<<< I think you should research the term passive architecture and see what it means in this case.>>

I designed electronic products I know what the term means. It means "what a professional expects to see when looking at the inside of the box, like circuit boards etc." generally speaking. But you left yourself a door open Scott by saying ......what it means in this case.

That was exactly my question to David the other day...to elaborate on that very point. And unless I hear a better explanation for the term I go for the worst one and that would be interpreted by me as a professional electronic gear designer as a sarcastic remark coming from a testing lab which is paid by my company with shareholders money.

<<>>>

It was a prodding question. Nothing more. If OSICOM would advertise a Long Haul GigaMux and get a trade mark on it. All hell would break out. Is that not a fact? FIBR would open on Monday at $ 2 3/8.

<<<<<. I don't think this is anything that hasn't been done a million times before, as a salesman you should be very familiar with this, but you seem surprised by it, something doesn't add up>>>>

You are wrong on that one. When it comes to the underdogs they will get prosecuted by the bullies in the field with no end. This make believe scenario works only for the big boys. Besides look at all the paperwork the SEC gets from them and compare, because they are obligated to the customer to disclose facts not fiction. In the paperwork they do and in the field they don~t. And it works well because what underdog can afford a $500 per hour attorney.

<<<< Why wouldn't Lucent leverage it's name and play catchup in areas where others have proven you can turn a buck. >>>>

What a cynical innuendo.Who has proven to LUCENT that there is a buck made in SHORT HAUL DWDM? Get the Long haul first to serve our ATT family friends and then get the little upstart OSICOM on the fly.And in the meantime give them stick! And CIENA? Well we see about those boys after their court case is done and over with. That sounds familiar TELECOM AMERICA?

<<<<p.s. remember I'm long, ok Eddy?>>>>
How could I ever forget?
