robert,

Is EET an electronic journal or hard copy; has this been on a web page to be followed in hard copy? How many people will see this? EET is "Electronic Engineering Times", right? A publication targeted to design engineers of the type we covet - those with design needs and the ability to make/influence component purchase decisions?

Any body have any ideas on when we will see performance/cost on LG Semicon and NEC if actually working and in the hands of select customers. I would think we are in those same hands and so we may have a horse race yet, something I hoped we could avoid for a while.

bob,

"Separately, Rockwell Collins Inc. (Cedar Rapids,
Iowa) said that it has decided not to sell its
Java-specific CPU on the merchant market. The
company had unveiled the innovative processor last
fall. The device is based on the company's
Advanced Architecture Microprocessor (AAMP),
a CPU family constructed from an off-the-shelf
library of standard cells. Rockwell will likely use
the part internally in future avionics offerings."

If this is true, that leaves only us and pico in the java chip
market, at least for the time being. Since there were a few companies
leaning towards using the JEM1 from ROK, it looks as though we will
have a better shot at their business.
