I just received a quarterly statement of a mutual fund I own, Third Avenue Value Fund, managed by renowned value investor, Martin Whitman. In it he listed 3 Com as a new holding. Whitman only buys stocks of companies that are extemely undervalued by 30% or more, based on a thorough balance sheet review. He is a buy and hold investor. His position in this stock should be considered a major positive for those of you, who are likewise, long-term investors. I think I'll buy some 3 Com myself.
