It's totally messed with my carefully cultivated image of Jane...dang, you dawg. It'll never be the same again! >>I think the MM's have better things to do with their time than read posts on SI while they are working..<< Seriously though, specialists, MMs, firms of all sizes, PR firms and departments...all of them look over YAHOO and SI threads. In general, I haven't found that they have much respect for what is expressed in these threads. Last week, I spoke with a completely level headed analytics contact in a firm which will go unmentioned here who referred to the internet posts on YAHOO and SI as being, well, pretty worthless. But I also know that there are folks that look through the various threads looking for spates of "irrational exuberance" as opportunities for shorting. I'm afraid predictions of the stock being in the $5 in two weeks and $20 by the end of the year, although entirely possible, is (IMHO) also shark bait.
