yessss...well, you know my propensity, clarice, for reality washed down with a nice bottle of chianti ...... i must tell you the reason i am actually reading it is to learn the vernacular.... to learn the pronunciations, as if learning a language through phonetics. i borrowed it from a friend who read from it one evening, after a dinner party, and i was thoroughly enchanted. the book reveals many more layers than the film permits or chooses to show. and, it is truly amazing to see it written on the page, and if you haven't seen the movie, it is impossible to explain why really, but it is almost like reading music in many ways...
