Carmine, my guess is that there will emerge a united OPEC and non-OPEC front supporting a production cut in excess of the presently indicated 1.0-to-1.7 mega bls/day cut. I believe that's why Norway didn't like timing of its intended production cut because a bigger bang would have been had if the announcement came AFTER the meeting. Some positive news should emerge in our early Monday market as the meeting begins in Europe before US market opens. If history is any guide, the emergent "united" front will last less than two months before at least one of them will loosen the oil spigot to pre-agreement levels. Tulvio

Analyst from DL&J says oil shares and broader market will climb on Monday. ''OPEC will be a positive because it will get oil prices up,'' said Jennifer Moran, an analyst at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette. ''I think they will show resolve to cut production.'' She predicted the meeting would lift oil shares and underpin the broader market on Monday. biz.yahoo.com Tulvio
