Can't speak for AMD and Cyrix, but from what I know of Cyrix's chips there is not a problem with IBM's foundry. I understand that Cyrix makes competitive chips - and the PCs in our office that use them (like this one I am typing on) are every bit as fast and reliable as the Intel-based machines we use (lots of FP calcs and rigorous engineering applications).

As far as IDTI goes, they need IBM for volume not for immediate cost issues.

As far as "Real Men" having their own fabs...you must be kidding. Good business decisions are not made based on what does or does not constitute "Real Man" behavior. I've read much of what you have written over the past few months and am constantly amazed that someone as intelligent as you liberally salts his messages with such garbage.
I doubt this can be true, but does anyone pay you to post all this Intel stuff on Cyrix and AMD boards?
