Kenneth,

Thanks for the post.

I think it's difficult for Christians to deal with someone who identifies so strongly with their sin. It makes them as uncomfortable as dealing with a satanist.

This is a very good point, and something I deal with often. I've never had this attitude, partly because I'm immersed in a non-Christian culture down at college. I appreciate you bringing this point to light.

Can we go on a little tangent about this? I constantly live in the midst of sin. Not that I'm perfect or anything, but my roommates are VERY into porn, casual sex, drinking, etc. They know where I stand on Jesus and know that I don't do any of these things (although I do have a beer once in a great while).

This is one of the main problems in my life that I struggle with. How do I deal with my roommates? Their whole lifestyles revolve around these sins, and so does their humor. I've gone through various stages. I've secluded myself in my room for days at a time. I've hung out with them and even joked around about their sins as some of the things they do are fairly funny if you forget they're sins. I've also talked to them a bit about my opinions on the matter. I used to think that I would be a good witness for Christ because I could function so easily with non-Christians while being oblivious to their lifestyles. Now, I just don't know...

Again, I'd appreciate any insight people have to this matter. How do I love my roommates without condoning their behavior.

Thanks,

Grant
