The clarity of knowing that all will be revealed without the selfish need to fabricate patently ridiculous fairy tales right here, right now. That's the journey I'm talking about and the clarity with which that can be undertaken is compromised by the insanity of following fairy tales. The clarity and peace of knowing that we will achieve immortality within the physical universe in less than 1000 years. That's ten families down the road, it's nothing. We don't need to invent Gods when God is out there waiting for us. Perhaps it will be tens of thousands of years before we find God but we will and we will already have immortality when we do. That's the clarity which gives me comfort. I don't have the selfish notion that I personally must live forever or even our family. It's enough to know that the human race will. We don't get there by slapping God in the face with fireside tales from the Stone Age.
