James et al -- From everything I've read, it seems that DEC is adrift with a downward bias without CPQ. DEC has disappointed on a routine basis and seems almost to have become a non-profit organisation. And even non-profit organisations are tightening ship. DEC today is in my estimation a throwback to the '60's and erly '70's when we all took those 2 hour lunches and spent the rst of the day sobering up from them. There were a lot ofa creative people around then but there were a lot more people around to cater to those creative temperaments. It's past time to dump those simpering beurocrats and time to poke those creative people at DEC to get on with it and learn to live without their handlers. It's not nice. It's not the great American novel. But it's reality. dulane
