Rod, This last post indicates that you got the message. The post is completely lacking in rational thought. We see things as we are and not as they are. It is true that all false religions are equally good and equally false. Man is incapable of establishing a truth or religion that goes beyone his own perception. That is why the goodness and evil of all cultures is relative. Each cutlure and each people perceive things from their point of view. This is why God has given us His Word. The Words of God are not the relativistic inventions of men. The Hebrew Prophets did not invent the Words they wrote from a cultural bias. Just read the Bible. One of the unique and distinguishing marks of the Hebrew Scritpures is their profound truthfulness about their own nation and their own leaders. When their leaders are righteous they are exalted. When the nation as a whole is righteous they are exalted and praised. But when the people and leaders are evil, their sins and weaknesses are exposed for the whole world to see. Men do not write histories of their own people in that fashion. They exalt their leaders and their people in mythical and legendary fashion. King David was a man after Gods' own heart. King David is praised fequently in the Scritpures but when he sins the Prophets record his weaknesses and his sins with a brutal honesty that simply does not exist anywhere else in the ancient world. The Word of God are eternal truths and certitudes that were given to man as a meauring rod to test the relativistic natural nature and behaviour of man. The Words are truths given to us by the God who created us and loves us. The Word of God and the Holy Spirit are the only pure truths and voices speaking to man today. When holy men speak throug the power of the Holy Spirit, they also give you the eternal truths of God. Test the Words whether they be true or false.
