There's really nothing to consider. The question is whether or not to believe the cultural anachronisms of man-made religions or to accept the astonishing miracle of our existence and leave the historical artifacts behind where they belong: in a museum. Unless we get taken out by some catastrophic event, we will eventually reach immortality and travel the galaxy through as-yet-unknown means. That's going to take tens, perhaps hundreds of thousands of years but it will happen. These ancient Gods will go the way of dinosaurs and the sooner the better. That's my last word on it.
