>>Lots of times after I bought, price went down but when I sold, stocks shot up :(<<

That sounds like a personal problems..
people with this disease hang out on irc in the #apmers channel..
sometimes we wander into the real world of #rttrader to see if theres anything different out there..
Then we mozy on back and say.. Oh well.. wish we could be like them..

but just in case.. UTILS and BANKS arent the place to be in right now..

Something I stole from Temple Williams

Some obvious day trading methodology:
1. Limit losses.
2. Let profits run a little past your comfort zone, if possible.
3. Move stops when winning ... always.
4. Tighten stops when EWave suggests, and, if in major reversal territory, use an SAR (Sell and Reverse) approach.
5. Always take losses immediately . always . always!
6. When in doubt, refer to #1, and if you're not sure of that, go with #5.
Swallow your need to be right. The market is smarter than you are.

Great trading!
