Glenn ... thanks for the kind words. Of course the paradox I find is that the more sound
and intelligent the investing strategy, the greater the deterioration in results !.

This seems to be true.

As for Amazon, I heard an analyst say that one of the main reasons for its success was
that it had a great Web site and that anyone who used it once would always use it again.

Some emailed me last yesterday about how poor the Amazon site was compared to Barnes and Noble. I suppose it is a matter of opinion.

I was always looking for a good reason to short this one and almost did when
it lost its AOL position to Barnes and Noble. I don't know what it will take to bring these
stocks down, but IMHO I think they are too dangerous to short and a real gamblers play
because they don't depend on fundamentals.

I feel certain the AMZN is bound to fall. I will keep my short position. I am not so sure about AOL and that position concerns me. There is no real barrier to entry in the Amazon market. It does not cost $2 billion dollars to make a nice web site. On the other hand, AOL is a household name with a lot of investment in hardware and interface. There is a barrier to entry there.
