Terry, thanks for pointing that out. I think that when Larry wrote 310.98 he intended 301.98 (the current price of gold). Also notice that he has the ratio at 138 which is missing a decimal. The math works for those adjustments.

Terry, You just gave me another reason not to post very often. I'm prone to typos that spell checkers don't catch. I meant to type 301.95. Fortunately, I used the right number in calculating the ratio. I apologize for the goof. Thank you for your comment on the value of the thread but Richard is the expert and the primary contributor and deserving of your appreciation. My only contribution is what I read in Barron's and in other Websites every week. Sorry for the delay in responding but I've been enjoying the great weather and my grandchildren. Cheers, Larry
