Can you say in English what that formula of yours is choosing to segregate out of the entire database? Also when are you going to use real money? Bede, amazingly the Q+ scan that I am using now hasn't changed much since post #151 //start Quotes Plus scan //1234 scan // Scan for Strong Stocks that have been taking a breather Loop(0,-10) // go back 10 days AllGroup // All Conditions Must Be Met Exchange=NASDAQ // NAZ stocks only Close(0) > Max(-1,-60,cl) // new 2 month high AvgVol(0,-30) >250 // =25,000 Close(0)>20 //548 picks on 032198 // end The 500 picks are converted to Metastock and ran through SuperCharts with only the 1,2,3,4 indicator on. The watchlist is added to a Yahoo portfolio for each day, ie. Mon Watchlist, Tue Watchlist, and so on. A new watchlist is made and replaces the old one everyday. Yahoo portfolios work exceptionally well because a upper and lower limit alerts can be set. Very Handy! NBTY was on Thu Wachlist and fired a buy signal on the close Friday. If the stock looks like it will close above the buy signal I will probably buy. No sense rushing into buying these picks. I would sooner have a stock close strong then open strong into a buy signal and then sell off for the rest of the day. I used some real money to buy some picks last week: BGSS, CLST, ACAI, SBGI, NCBC, EXPD. Going to buy $2,000 positions, and take profits on half of the position when ahead by 5 - 20%. 100 stocks maximum in the portfolio. Gann Style Swing Trading and Cooper's 1,2,3,4 setups are one of the same - The philosophy of using higher highs and higher lows for buy signals and using previous valleys for support and setting stop levels. This strategy can be used on daily or 10 minute bars.
