No, I did not assemble it myself... got it from a vendor of server/workstations, S.A.G Electronics (http://www.sagelec.com).

config as follows:

Mid-Tower case (space limitations @ home)
SuperMicro 6DLS motherboard, on board Adaptec UltraWide SCSI
64MB 100Mhz SDRAM (tradeoff from 128MB for the IBM HDD)
(1) Intel PII 333
#9 Revolution 3D AGP 8MB video board
Sound blaster
Toshiba 32x SCSI CDROM
IBM 9.1GB, 10,000RPM 6.3ms HDD
Windows NT Workstation
Hitachi 19" monitor

Quite happy with the setup... about $3800
