All: there is a poll being done by www.javaworld.com to find out what IDE java developers are using. Currently, JBuilder is 3rd with about 20% of the votes. If you are using it, vote at:

Sam,

The sjmercury link doesn't seem to work. Naturally, any fresh money will always help the Street, but the second tier especially Borl has been taking the beating because of market perception that the monopolist takes all. Changing that perception is more important than Japanese money. If Justice takes action, the psychological impact could be huge for the second tier. It's amount to government bailout of Chrysler for company like Borl whose obstacle is basically the stock price just as Jocelyn pointed out in the JavaOne post. Borl can not become an enterprise tool company if the stock keeps staying in the single digit. Low stock prices, low sale. It's a catch-22. They can try to build revenue up but that takes time. Or get a reprieve on life from Justice. We'll find out soon enough.

PS. Encouraging notes on CEBIT show as posted on Borl website. Maybe the Europeans are not so hung up on MS that they will buy the best tools and blow the revenue number away :-)
