SDNA,

I signed up for the cable service through @HOME last summer and it is definitely fast!!! For example, I downloaded the full version of Netscape Communicator (15M) in 90 seconds so if you consider that fast, then yes it is.

If you don't want to take my word for it, I suggest going to one of the demonstration booths that @Home has set up to see it for yourself. That's what I did before I signed up.

P.S. - They also have a 30 day money back guarantee I believe.

Hope this helps,
Nicholas

SDNA,
I got a cable modem and @home through TCI in January. Before I could install it I had to update my NT 4.0 to Service Pac 3. It took about three hours to download the 18MByte file to do the update. When installing the support files for @home, the service rep (on the phone) suggested I pull the 23MByte file off of the internet rather than from the CD ROM. I timed it. It took 43 seconds. The cable modem plus @home costs just $6 more than the second phone line plus my previous ISP cost.
