<<<< Remember R&D Scientific, Alpha Products, etc. If we look at Joe's past track record of buying companies, it's not ALL good. >>>>

GE,

I don't know what the etc. is but one of the greatest investors of all time had a very simple philosophy as to how he built his portfolio. He would buy what ever assets he could with the money he had. After that he continued to look for assets that were performing better than the ones he currently owned. When he found one, he would sell his least performing asset and replace it with the new one. This process never stopped. Both Alpha Products and R&D Scientific generated positive cash flow. Because they did not fit in with the direction of DCI and Joe found better performing assets, they were disposed of. Since "good" is a relative term, I have to disagree with your comment concerning Joe's track record.

As to the "hodgepodge", IMO as I stated on Friday, the companies that are being brought to DCI are the result of a plan put together by the IB firm. It is also MO the IB firm has several suitors in mind and they know what they are looking for in an acquisition. As to whether $300 million is outrageous is relative also. I think the value of Microsoft is outrageous but evidently a lot of portfolio managers disagree.

Best Regards
