>I am a newcomer to this, but the level of enthusiasm here regarding the markets response to an OPEC accor concerns me.<

Worry about something significant, like the pizza deal. You should have been around here two weeks ago. We've been so depressed that no social worker could help...so we asked lisa to come aboard.

Yes, it is the traditional thing to say, "See everyone is happy, time to sell,"...but this ain't a traditional time. Don't be traditional. Good way to lose money. We have been drilled since October and we're finally coming up for air. Don't confuse truth and a stabilizing heart rate for overheated enthusiasm. Go ahead and sell now...there are plenty of folks here that would love to pick up your shares for cheap; me included.

By the way, welcome aboard. You must first do drill bit cleaning for 3 weeks before moving to the next level.

Ken,
There has been a mixed response to the oil producers' meeting. There has been a significant jump in oil prices, but also a lot of naysaying discounting the effectiveness of any agreement. If the agreement comes off looking good, you may see a significant amount of previously cautious money committed to buying. There is also the the buying that comes in simply from people joining the recovery from abysmally depressed prices. Most of the drillers are still significantly below their highs, so I think there can be a lot of room to the upside before it becomes euphorically overbought.
good luck,
Baird
