This post, along with the promotion for the $45 per port
Switches, indicate to me that there might be something wrong
with the company. First, if they used to preannounce and
now they didn't, that's fishy. Secondly, with such aggressive
pricing and with the deadline set at March 31st (end of first
quarter 1998), are they trying to desperately sell their products
to meet or beat estimates for the first quarter?

Don't get me wrong ... I am playing devil's advocate, but
I do own many shares of MRVC, and slightly worried.

And the stock was around 18-20...does it have to go that low again? Do we have to be at a 52 week low to get a preannouncement? Think about it...the company is great at applying bandaids but not at healing the wound.
