From Cendant:
"Despite the profitability of the Internet for Cendant, the marketing costs were said to be substantial. "Online marketing works, it's just very difficult," explained Melland. As an example, he said a "successful" banner ad seen by 100,000 people would result in about 20-40 buyers. For an ad that cost $20 CPM, every buyer would need to purchase $67 worth of merchandise to make up the marketing costs."

What does Yahoo charge per CPM?

The YHOO thread on Yahoo is turning a bit more "intelligent" again (after a long lapse). Last time this happened YHOO lapsed into a "retraction"(What's next?:$72 week after earnings???)

PS I wonder if, at this point, individual investors play any role in YHOO's movements.
