"A spin off would not necessarily make a buyout more likely because a buyer could cause a spin off after an acquisition of CUBE."

That is absolutely correct and the most likely scenario if CUBE were to be bought out. It's a way of getting the company and paying the stockholders less than full value. If you are long this stock you do not want to be bought out for a few bucks above the current price.

BTW who would you name as Divcom's top competitors?

Kasan, a CUBE customer, introduces a graphics board based on Intel's i740 chip................

<<Kasan Electronics, the nation's leading graphic card manufacturer, has developed a
3-dimensional graphic card featuring the Intel 740 graphic-accelerating chip.

Kasan's Blitz 740 graphic card will hit the market in the first half of this year.

The new graphic card provides support for the AGP (accelerated graphic port), an interface
developed by Intel for the speedier handling of graphic data.

Blitz 740 offers 133 megahertz bandwidth, much larger than the 33 MHz or 66 MHz offered
by graphic cards based on the PCI bus.

Blitz also offers such capabilities as video capturing and video overlaying. >>
