OFF TOPIC Sorry, It's my first attempt to do this myself. Check with your accountant. I would presume no need to show as a sale since you are merely exchanging the same dollar values - especially since you MAY be putting the stock inside at a lower price than you bought it. And again, what's the point of allowing the strategy if it forces a "sale" that has to be declared? Also, I presume that it can be done only with ONE stock. But check with your broker. They will know. Apparently it's a common practice. Good luck.
