AND & UK

AND looks like it will correct down from a continued selloff Monday morning. However, if the momentum can be sustained it should recover before 11 am and move up. Use the gap strategy to enter.

UK - If Union Carbide can break 50 it will rocket. I suspect it might take a couple more days of consolidation to get to that point. Not enough volume, but worth watching.

Peter,
UK - chemicals, currently a sector more in favour. This however is a cheaply valued company, PSR at 0.98. Only problem is sales are stagnant - but that seems to be the problem of the sector.

While I can't give You a clue about timeliness right now, I can tell You that I think the stock could reach its old high again, especially if the DOW retests the 9000 mark and accelerates further..

The company anyway seems to do a decent job in containing costs, so this is a very low-risk play IMHO..

regards
CROSSY

Sorry Guys... was just trying to add some levity to the thread. I will go back to just lurking. BTW I am learning a tremendous amount. Keep up the excellent work! All of you.

Watch list for Monday 3/30/98

Your Opinion Please on UK (UNIVERSITY of KENTUCKY! - BASKETBALL NCAA FINAL GAME)

Analysis:
Although stellar former CEO went to Boston (RICK PATINO), new CEO from Georgia (TUBBY SMITH) has done superb job. Recent poor performances in first half have been overcome by late rallies (DUKE and STANFORD). Latest close was up 1 (OVERTIME VICTORY OVER STANFORD LAST NIGHT). This group came out on top 2 years ago (NATIONAL CHAMPIONS) but fell short a year ago (LOST TO ARIZONA IN FINAL GAME). Whether recent successes continue, depends on market challenge from organization in Mormon country (UNIV. OF UTAH). This bunch has a long storied history and could show another big gain tomorrow (GO WILDCATS, GO!).

Just a thought ...:-)
