Is there anything about Java at the web consortium: w3c.org

Here is an interesting tidbit:

"The Document Object Model is a platform- and language-neutral
interface that will allow programs and scripts to dynamically
access and update the content, structure and style of documents. "

Rod, if you are going to babble on about open standards then you
better drop the Java religion otherwise you come across as a
hypocrite.

Java is having success in the area it was originally designed for
(remember Oak) which is small appliances. Unfortunately, Gosling
needed to have superstar status and Sun has convinced a new generation
of youth brought up on Star Trek that Microsoft is the Borg.

What is hot is not Java but new web technologies like XML, DHTML, etc.

Re: "brittle trash-ware they call COM. "

You've frequently used the adjective brittle to describe COM. What about COM is brittle?
