I rest my case that David Ray is woefully uninformed about Java and the assertion that some other "language" is going to come along and knock Java out proves my case. Not only does Java have the backing of Sun, Oracle, Symantec, Borland, IBM, Sony and Motorola and the bulk of the industrialized world, it's an ISO standard. Any new language would have to offer a monumental value over Java as Java did over its predecessor. He won't offer any clues as to what those benefits might be because he doesn't have any -- clues that is.
