Drilling on VIP's Syd Claims Commences March 30, 1998 Victory Ventures Inc. (VIP:VSE) reports that drilling on the Syd 1 mineral claim has commenced. In order to identify high priority targets on the Syd claims, VIP has conducted geophysical airborne surveys followed up by an extensive ground program including ground magnetics, aerial photos in order to look for vegetation and topographic anomalies corresponding with air and ground magnetic anomalies, seismic data analysis, and EM tests. The review by Apex Geoscience of seismic profiles in the vicinity of anomalies 10 and 47 on the Syd 1 property has revealed the presence of several interesting seismic disturbances in the vicinity of or possibly coincident with the magnetic anomalies. On the basis of this data and other information obtained from the ground exploration program, these two anomalies will be drilled immediately. Drill results will be announced as they become available. Although several high priority targets have been identified and require drilling, spring break-up has led to several road-bans, therefore some of the targets will have to be postponed until after spring break-up. Victory Ventures Inc. has a 100% interest the Syd 1, Syd 2, and Syd 3 mineral claims located just north of Lesser Slave Lake in the Province of Alberta. The Syd claim blocks, according to available geological information, are thought to be in an area of relatively thin overburden.
