Karin,

You might want to check out Yardeni's web site. He is chief economist at Deutsche Morgan Grenfell. His web site is yardeni.com It has a large section on the Y2K issue.

I too would like to get an update from BB on his thoughts about this. While I am skeptical that Y2K will end up causing many serious computer problems, whether or not computers crash may be irrelevant to its effect on the market.

The market may be more driven by perception. Given all the hype, even if it ends up being no big deal, there is no way to convince the investing public of this until early 2000. And these investors will likely act well before Dec 31, 1999.
