Wrong! I'd like to cite the case of Tommaso who was suspended because TLS (the original BLANK, I believe) complained. Tommaso, to my knowledge, had no problems with anyone before and after his dispute with TLS. He was, in fact, an intelligent and valuable contributor with many useful insights. His problem arose because he called an idiot an idiot. The idiot then complained and TOMASSO! was the one who paid.
You call this justice?

Occasionally in our system of justice the innocent are found guilty. The case of Tomasso and X is an excellent example of this happening on SI. I read the posts leading up to the warnings and it was obvious that the complainer was a total jerk looking for trouble. These types are all around SI--and the real world. But it took me some time to go back and do that..and I doubt Jill has the time to follow up reading hundreds of posts trying to determine just who is guilty of what. In this case, I believe (correct me if I'm wrong, X) that X and Tomasso were not suspended, but merely warned to stay on topic on a stock thread (tho when I read the posts I don't think they were that far afield, given what I see on other stock threads such as TAVA).
I still believe that the Coffee Shop should remain largely self-regulating,with the stock threads strictly enforced for content, if necessary. (This wasn't necessary in the case of A and T)
But boy, I wouldn't have Jill's job and I think she does it as well and fairly as possible. Sometimes she must feel like a kindergarten teacher with a very large spoiled class.
