i believe the number is now 28+ M shares outstanding.

Thanks, that would explain it.

As for the $48.00 per port switch offer, everyone please keep in mind that this was not an offer to the general public, but rather to the systems integrators and resellers that resell the products. It is not uncommon for a manafacturer to make such an offer to their sales partners for demo gear. But in this case, it is for inventory, so it does appear to be unloading.

Yes, it is a reduced price, but it is also reduced performance on a product. The offer in the word document says March 31, but the text of the message that included the word document states June 1st.

Here is the TEXT of the message that was not previously posted with the word document:

Please read the attached announcement from NBase Communications concerning a special introductory price on our NH2048.

The NH2048 is a 32-48 port manageable group switch which also supports Gigabit Ethernet, ATM and FDDI uplink modules.

The reseller cost of the NH2048 is $1424 if ordered before June 1st. The cost of the uplink modules is 50% off list.

This is a very good low cost per port product to put in inventory.

If interested please fax purchase order to Lisa Baratt (301-601-2902).

So, this is a introductory price for the resellers to fill up their shelves.... I just retyped to top part of this message because I originally thought this was a demo unit only type of offer, but it is not. They clearly want the sales channel to suck up some units.
