I may have been mistaken as to the intention of this thread. Al, I'm sure the old Newfoundlander's comment would have been an interesting addition to your post. I love the effect that people's comments have throughout our lives and the way it changes our outlook. It does not really matter what he said, but that it had an underlying contribution to your development as a youth. I will share with you one from my life. I was in Chicago's airport (O'Hare) and I had a few questions I needed to ask a lady in a store. I asked two and remembered one more as I was walking out. I returned and apologized for having to ask another question to which the lady replied, "Honey, if you never ask questions, you will never learn." It reinforced in my mind that craving knowledge should never be an inconvenience for anyone. When I used to go to the doctor for whatever reason, I would always ask two or three extra questions about Medicine that did not have anything to do with my visit. I am not a doctor, but I now know a lot about Medicine. I took this interest in all subjects. I now have many more answers than I have questions.
