Japan NEEDS to have the slate wiped clean in the real estate, banking and the stock markets. There still too many jokers in business today who should have been slain by the darwinian sword know as the business cycle. You can not prevent a business cycle, multi-trillion-dollar citizen postal savings notwithstanding.

It would be interesting when Dow Jones and Nikkie cross path going in different directions.

<<<<Q: Anyone think that they are in a full depression mode? {I do}

...i think it would classically be called a recession. however, more pork without dereg and tax cuts and we could see the whole enchilada implode--we shall see.

.....i personally think that they will continue to offer small packages of reform until they get it right within the next 1-2 years. i predict their will be tax cuts over the next 6-18 months.
