All: CNBC reported the story about Apple's BOD saying Jobs will be interim as long as he wants during the 6AM to 7AM hour.

Update on my blacked out 8100/80AV - responses in private mail, please. (There have been complaints to Jill):

It wasn't the battery, nor the monitor. My best guess is that it's a video chip, since I can hear things happening, and lights go on, when the machine is turned on. Thanks to Doren, I've learned that there is going to be a G3 upgrade available for the 8100/80AV and other related machines, from Newer Technologies. It may pay to get this fixed if the repair is moderate and that upgrade is ever released. The Newer Technologies upgrade has been delayed from February as Henry Norr originally reported release, monthly, till May being the current projected release date. Also the cost of the speediest version has risen with each delay. Now it's $825. If they keep delaying and raising the price, it'll be better to buy a G3. Still, it's promising. If anyone has other ideas of things to try before I bring it to the shop, let me know? The monitor still stays black and I can't get a zap PRAM to work.

Today looks promising for Apple stock, especially if CNBC is going to rerun that story.
