Jack, 10Qs are a good source for DD, I always read every word: >>The question you should really ask is, when did TAVA release their Y2K product? TAVA made 1.7m in services and a 1/4 million in tool sales the 2nd quarter, the same quarter they formally released their offering<< From 10Q July-Sep 1997: " During the fourth quarter of fiscal 1997, the Company announced a major business initiative based on its PlantY2KOne-TM- suite of products and services designed to address year 2000 compliance problems in process control and factory automation systems" "The CD ROM version of the product was released in mid October 1997. During the quarter, the Company received more than a dozen engagements for its Y2KOne-TM- services." "The CD ROM version of the Plant Y2Kone-TM- product has been developed and is actively being marketed." From 10Q Oct-Dec 1997: "The Company has received orders from more than 30 clients for its year 2000 products and services" >>and one quarter sooner then they projected Y2K revenue.<< From 10Q July-Sep 1997: " the Company believes its Y2KOne-TM- product and services hold significant near-term commercial opportunity. " So by September 1997 - 6 months ago - the company had already received over 12 engagements for services, 30 by December. "During the six months ended December 31, 1997, the Company recorded $1,733,000 of year 2000 revenue." Fine, they won't necessarily recognise most revenue from these deals, but the point is, shouldn't the revenue be higher by now if TAVA was going to be such a star performer? I think it should be. Nobody disagrees so far. As your post was incorrect, maybe you should do more DD.
