Ion propulsion requires lots and lots of power. Not a bad trade for initial positioning of satellites when transponders are not in use, but power management becomes more of a problem when ion propulsion is used for routine station keeping.

The Merril report was disappointing to me, they are predict lower usage rates than Loral and only 32 a share this year for LOR, and Global star is already slightly overvalued at it's levels.

This is sounds much different the general tone of this thread. Anyone care to comment ??
