""Man is born spiritually dead." Hi Pete, When Adam and Eve sinned, they died, not biologically but spiritually. The spiritual death of Adam and Eve is inherited by all of their children. Therefore all men come into this world biologically alive but spiritually dead. "Man is born spiritually dead". We are born with the sin nature of Adam and are consequently the children of Satan. We are born as sensual men. Man had been created into the image and likenss of God. He was a spirit being with a body and as such was in constant fellowship and communion with God through the spirit. When agreed to lesten to and obey satan, he took on the nature of satan and destroyed the image and likeness of God in creation. Jesus has come to restore what was lost through sin. Jesus has come so that the image and likness of God can be recreated in man through being Born Again as a child of God. This is possible because Jesus took all of mankind sins upon himself on the Cross so that men could be sin free and once more become the Sons of God and have fellowship with God. If you believe in your heart that Jesus is Lord and you confess with your mouth that God has raised Him from the dead you will be Born Again.
