On the camp site the prem was the difference between the futures contract and the current?

Or was I mistaken?

I was unaware that the PREM could be fluctuating like you mentioned. I know on the CNBC ticker I see the PREM listed..

Is that the number that indicated program trading as per whatever the number is for the day or whatever is known by the pit?

One other kinda big thing to me: Do the programs hit everytime that the PREM gets to the point to trigger? So it could be hit many times intra-day, and could be monitored by watching the S&P...

But like you say, it is all moot unless you are in right before the program hits.. And I bet due to all the people doing it, that when the roll occurs, the pricing isnt very accurate since right after the sell (or buy) is done, there is a rush to exit..
Until I get to that point I guess it doesnt matter alot..
