Thats fine, but when is the stock going to make a meaningful move?

In this mkt I am surprised to see cien still under 50. It appears there are lots of better opportunities than this.

>> What many people are overlooking is that with the MCI acquisition, a six month expansion hiatus had to take place just to consolidate the two systems, and that as the acquireor WC will call the shots for new
systems giving Ciena a serious "leg up". <<

I was on a confrence call with several weeks ago, the presenter had an opportunity to ask the Vice Chairman of WCOM the question of who gets the business if the WCOM/MCIC merger is consumated.

He responded that MCIC has chosen another route to solve it's bandwidth problems, that he would not be presumptious to suggest that WCOM will be running the combined network, but if it was up to WCOM, they would definitely go the Ciena route.

My point is, this is an internal political situation within WCOM/MCIC and no one knows who will run the combined network. So don't place your bets just yet on this issue.
